What Is An Indigo ?

Indigo children make up a growing percentage of the current generation of youth and have characteristics that set them apart from other young people. The Indigo name indicates the life color they carry in their energy field, sometimes also referred to as blue rays. They have a high degree of sensitivity, highly developed intuition, are wise beyond their years. They have an innate sense of spirituality and a natural psychic propensity seeming to just "know" many things that surprise adults and peers.

These children and young people need acknowledgment of their gifts and abilities, as well as support and guidance in unfolding them. We are entering a new phase of human evolution and these children are the forerunners. They have knowledge which will assist us in creating new ways of living more aligned with heart, oneness, nature, and truth. Their gifts are needed NOW and support for them is critical NOW.

They often resist authority and are nonconformist. They are direct and say what they mean for they hold Truth in great importance, it is part of who they are and they sense when another is not being truthful. They feel deeply and can be perceived as emotional and physically sensitive or fragile. They are highly talented and academically gifted, though they may not attain good grades in school. They are frequently labeled ADD/ADHD and tend to have a difficult time in a traditional school setting, becoming easily bored and wanting to express their knowledge and talents in ways that do not conform to the structure and boundaries of a classroom. For this reason it is very common for these children to struggle in the regular educational setting.

These children may or may not know they are Indigos and just because they are indeed evolved souls, does not mean they don’t need guidance and support. They have come into this world with challenges to overcome. They are very evolved beings who are having to come into a very dense field as they enter this world, and this is extremely hard on their bodies. Their extreme levels of sensitivity are difficult for parents or teachers to understand and value, unless they have experienced this personally. Understanding this sensitivity and knowing how to protect and clear their energy fields is important.

The Indigos are here to create change. They are a new expression of being and require a new way of learning, expressing, doing and creating. We must assist them in unfolding their gifts and standing in who they really are, so they can offer their wisdom and the change they came here to create. If their gifts are met with skepticism or negative responses, they may begin to hide them or become very unhappy and depressed as their truth is rejected. Crystal children are pure and open beings of light. They are the new little ones who are defying all developmental age characteristics. They are doing things at 6 months that you would see in a 2 year old, and two year olds are like 4 or 5 year olds. They are about oneness, love, and have immense wisdom that comes forth as a wise old soul from the mouth of a toddler. They are also very sensitive due to their openness and may fuss in a crowd due to what they are picking up from the energy fields of others. They are happy, forgiving and have huge eyes like pools of light. It is also not uncommon for them to have some difficulty at birth or as an infant, a trauma or sickness, which they overcome. It seems to be part of their higher evolution transitioning into the physical realm. Their very presence uplifts.

Autism It is interesting to note the increase in Autism and Aspergers at this time of great change on the planet. These children also have characteristics such as Telepathy, precognition or premonition, animal communication and communication with the unseen. Again, these children seem to be of a higher vibration and telepathy is their natural communication. Experiment with communicating from your crown chakra to theirs, through feeling and thought, and notice the result. The book "The Soul of Autism" by William Stillman provides an amazing look at the spiritual gifts of Autism and a new perspective.
